To me, rock music has come such a long way since being created.  Advancing from the days of Elvis to now all of the huge headliners that tour the US, you can go to many major cities and find a rock show weekly. One of the things I have noticed since growing up in a house that jams out to rock is how great of female musicians there are in this platform. Woman like Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Pat Benatar, and Stevie Nicks have paved the way for today's rock woman. Everyone has a band or bands that they can relate to or really define a generation. Green Day was and still is one of those bands for me. Whether it was jamming out to Welcome to Paradise or When I Come Around from the 90's or the new stuff this great band continues to put out. What person can honestly say they can't identify with a song or songs Green Day puts out. There is a reason that almost every high school graduation ceremony seems to always have Good Riddance playing as the pictures of the graduates flying by the screen. Being 26, growing up always included Green Day in my Walkman or iPod. The reason I bring this up is Green Day Vocalist and song writer Billie Joe Armstrong has announced he is selling a variety of his own guitars and amps! Ryan Check out more on this story Here
